China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Radio and Television Administration, and China Media Group (CMG) jointly issued the "Action Plan for the Development of UHD Video Industry (2019-2022)" on February 28, 2019. The action plan states that the growth of UHD video industry will be promoted based on the "4K first ，combined with 8K " technological development roadmap. The 8K UHD TV channel broadcast system is part of CMG's initiative to implement the action plan. Under CMG's guidance, Arcvideo Tech participated in establishing an 8K UHD TV channel broadcasting system to support the government policy and facilitate the growth of 8K UHD industry in China.
